Role: 

This is a full-time remote role for a Sales Development Representative at PICA. The Sales Development Representative will be responsible for inside sales, lead generation, communication, business development, conference program, CRM updates, webinars, marketing campaigns, and sales activities on a day-to-day basis. The Sales Development Representative will be responsible for the top of the funnel, identifying viable leads to handoff to the Business Development team.

Responsibilities

  • Identify prospects, explore opportunities, and develop new leads.
  • Follow up on inbound leads for qualifying.
  • Build and maintain top of sales funnel.
  • Maintain opportunities, contacts and accounts in HubSpot CRM system and ensure it is current.
  • Submit abstracts and organize conference program. Includes conference attendance. 
  • Organization and execution of webinar series to present PICA’s service offerings. 
  • Work with Business Development team to support marketing campaigns including quarterly newsletter.
  • Work actively as part of the sales team and contribute regularly to team updates.
  • Report weekly to management on key performance indicators and opportunity status.
  • Work with PICA’s Business Development team to hand off qualified leads for close.

    • Experience in sales or relevant field
    • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work independently and remotely
    • Knowledge of pipeline inspection or related industry is a plus
    • Knowledge of HubSpot CRM

Experience and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
  • 1+ years’ experience as a sales development representative.
  • Extended experience in building a sales funnel and preparing responses for RFP’s. 
  • Experience in the municipal industry is an asset.
  • 1+ years of industry related experience—pipeline inspection, construction, or operations. Water, wastewater experience ideal.
  • Experience writing formal proposals and papers and conducting presentations. 
  • Highly organized, flexible, and maintains confidentiality.
